Late Night Guerrilla Poetry Zine-Making Workshop

Guerrilla Poetry Zine-Making Workshop: Unleash Your Creative Rebellion

Thursday 26th June 5 - 8pm.

Calling all collage commandos and cut-and-paste anarchists—this is your invitation to join the zine underground.

Led by zine-maker and poetic troublemaker Rowan Taigel of Guerrilla Poetry, this is not a craft night. This is creative warfare.

Under cover of night, you’ll be on a mission: to create a one-off, no-rules zine that drips with attitude and defies convention. Expect scissors. Expect sass. Expect a creative ambush.

What’s a zine, you ask?

It’s a DIY, lo-fi, no-permission-needed mini magazine. A punk-era relic turned modern-day weapon of expression. Think mini-manifestos, personal rants, recipe collections, photo essays, mixtape liner notes, rants about houseplants, fan tributes, confessions, collage diaries, feminist rage, dream logs, secret obsessions or totally made-up nonsense. If you can imagine it, you can zine it.

This night is for:

  • People who like to say “why not?” more than “why?”

  • The curious, the creatively-starved, the secretly-sassy, and anyone who’s ever wanted to make something just because they can

  • Nervous newbies and seasoned scribblers alike—no art degree, no rules, no gatekeeping

No prior intel required. We’ll kit you out with everything you need.
All you need to bring is your rebellious streak and a thirst for something a little bit rogue.

You’ll be armed with:

  • Vintage typewriters for all your poetic (or chaotic) provocations

  • Retro books, mags, and wild imagery begging to be torn up and reimagined

  • Scissors, glue, staplers and enough collage chaos to make your fingers tingle

  • Tables full of inspiration and just enough mess to spark something brilliant

Limited spaces. Max attitude. Full creative freedom.

See you on the front line.

Licenced venue. Food and drink costs additional to the workshop.
